Starting in 2024, the city is offering a unique program to help homeowners strengthen their homes against hurricanes. Through the Home Mitigation Program, residents can receive up to $30,000 in grants to cover various renovation costs.

- Installation of secondary water barriers
- Hurricane-resistant straps for roofs
- Hurricane-resistant doors and windows (for primary residences)
What’s needed to Qualify?
- Be a North Lauderdale resident and homeowner
- Current on property taxes and no code violations
- Have homeowner’s insurance (flood insurance if required)
- Apply online through ZoomGrants portal starting December 4th, 10 am
- First come, first served – program lasts 60 days
